I ordered a beef steak with fries and a fried egg. It was simply perfect, the dish was well served, the steak was huge and the meat juices seasoned everything and gave it a perfect flavor. Not to mention that there were carrots with the dish that made me wonder, how those carrots were seasoned had an unusual flavor. The gentleman who served us was very kind and friendly. The atmosphere was cozy, I felt like I was at my grandmother's house.

A very nice and small restaurant with a prised local cuisine. If you want to eat well, go eat here the locals eat. And they wat here. Proper Portugees dishes at low costs. Great value for money, that is what we Dutch appreciate. The only downside: the door to the toilet is very narrow for a big Dutch guy. …

We stumbled upon this hidden gem as we were walking through Beja and were looking for a lunch place. Delicious local dishes - we had a peasant style lamb stew with potatoes, that was a favourite of our toddler, and Alentejano porc with clams, both very flavourful and tender! Cosy atmosphere and attentive service.
